Photothermal Switches
Ray’s research group is dedicated to pioneering the development of Photothermally Reversible Luminescence Switches, a groundbreaking technology with vast implications for achieving reversible Fluorescence, Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF), and Room Temperature Phosphorescence (RTP). Our focus lies in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing intelligent materials that exhibit exceptional photoresponsive properties, allowing for the dynamic modulation of their luminescent behavior under the influence of external stimuli.
Photothermal Luminescence Switches represent a paradigm shift in the field, offering a versatile platform for reversible delayed emission, where light emission can be toggled on and off with exquisite control. This capability opens up new avenues in developing optical switches and sensors, with potential applications ranging from advanced imaging techniques to sensing technologies.
